Trump Responds To Water System Hack Like A Domestic Abuser
The water systems in multiple US states have been targeted by hackers, leading the sitting US president to deflect, gaslight, and victim blame in lieu of being even remotely helpful.
US officials have recently confirmed that the water systems in multiple states across the country have been targeted by currently unidentified hackers in a coordinated attack that is being described by analysts as one of the most severe and serious cyberattacks on US water systems in years, leaving cities issuing boil advisories, switching their systems to manual mode, and taking their systems entirely offline.
Donald Trump, the sitting President of the United States of America, is responding to the attacks like a stereotypical abusive husband.
While the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the FBI, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have desperately scrambled to secure the affected water facilities and ensure that citizens are able to access clean and safe drinking water, Trump himself has taken the tack of pure, unadulterated victim-blaming.
In a warning issued by CISA last week, water facilities were urged to quickly get any vulnerable industrial equipment offline, as the hackers “are targeting water entities of all sizes.”
CNN reports, “The hackers are targeting internet-facing programmable logic controllers (PLCs), the devices that allow machinery to communicate at water facilities and other industrial plants. PLCs monitor water pressure, chemical dosing and other features in water systems to ensure they are safe.
The hacks are not complicated: The attackers are breaking into PLCs that are sitting online and vulnerable.”
The state of Minnesota appeared to be the first to fall victim to the cyberattack, as state authorities confirmed that between Sunday night and Monday morning, approximately 30 water systems were targeted throughout the state. In a memo distributed by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, officials stated that the “likely desired impact” of the cyberattack against the water facilities was “to cause loss of system pressure and subsequent potential contamination of water supply.”
Directly following the attack across the North Star State, Minnesota’s chief information security officer, John Israel, said, “I suspect that those attackers are going to … continue to look nationally across the infrastructure,” going on to theorize that the hackers would “continue to rattle those doorknobs and try to break into systems that have weak configurations.”
Israel’s theory was correct, as approximately 6 additional states have reported similar cyberattacks against their water systems over the last week.
The United States government has yet to formally point the finger at anyone with regard to blame for the hacks, but suspicions, rumors, and speculations with respect to Iran have begun to swirl.
However, the president himself seemingly prefers to point his finger at the victims themselves.
BBC reports that, in a Cabinet meeting Trump actually managed to stay awake for on Friday, he viciously and without a shred of evidence laid the blame for the water system attacks in Minnesota at the feet of… Minnesota, stating, “They blamed it on Iran. I don’t think so. I think I blame it on Minnesota because they’re grossly incompetent,” before calling the state’s Democratic governor and Kamala Harris’ former 2024 running mate Tim Walz “corrupt.”
“They like to say, 'Oh, is Iran.' Iran should be so lucky. Iran's got bigger problems than worrying about Minnesota," Trump said in the meeting.
Tim Walz responded in true Minnesota dad fashion, stating simply, “Trump knows exactly who is responsible for this attack, and knows that other states were hit too.”
Frankly, who knows if Iran is truly responsible for these attacks? I can’t personally say that I’d be floored with surprise either way.
What most concerns me is the unashamed behavior on display by the leader of what is supposed to be “The Greatest Country In The World.”
Abusers almost always share a very specific set of behaviors: Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender.
Anyone, women in particular, who has stood toe to toe with an abusive man can smell the tactic from a country mile away, and I can personally attest to the fact that Donald J. Trump REEKS of it and, for me and so many others, that’s far more disturbing than even where these attacks are originating from.
America took her abusive ex back in 2024, instead of sending him to prison where he belonged, and we’re going to be damn lucky if he doesn’t kill us all, simply because he can.

Abusive men grow from entitled, selfish little boys. Donnie TheRump is an entitled, selfish little boy in an old fart's rapidly deteriorating body and mind. He cannot conceive of a common enemy - every person, group and nation is either on his side or a personal enemy. The idea that Iran, a nation he has attacked under made-up justifications, could launch cyber attacks on states or businesses in the USA is unimaginable to him. In his eyes, Iran and Democratic Minnesota are both HIS foes.
When red states are inevitably attacked, he will likely say little - he has little empathy for entities not CURRENTLY useful to him. Both TheRump's empathy and memory were lacking before the mental deterioration preceding the 2024 elections - and worsening since. Like the immature pre-schooler he is psychicall, he lives in the immediate. The past teaches him nothing and the future is far, far away. His infamous "two weeks" is, to boy Donnie, sufficiently far away he isn't required to deal with it NOW. Anything beyond 14 days is the indefinite future.
Adults think in terms of months, seasons, years and longer. Trump is a child, an immature one at that, who lives in the immediate. He neither learns from the past nor anticipates the future. Combine that with his selfishness and lack of empathy and we get an individual supremely unqualified to hold the office of POTUS.
